About the Role
🔹 Role: Design Engineer – Electrical Switchgear (US Projects).
🔹 Key Tasks:
- Create LV/MV switchgear designs for US clients.
- Work on AutoCAD/SolidWorks technical drawings.
- Collaborate with sales & manufacturing teams.
Position Summary
In this position, you will be able to:
- Produce electrical panel and switchboard designs that include single line diagrams, component location and size, busbar sizing, wiring diagrams, and control schemes.
- Review project documentation (BOQs, single line diagrams) and create technical submittals for your client to approve.
- Research technical specifications for components and apply them to your design solutions.
- Keep your project libraries organized and easily accessible for similar/current/future projects.
- Work in conjunction with sales and manufacturing on the project's execution.
- Use software such as AutoCAD to produce technical drawings/designs.
Who are we seeking?
To be qualified for this position, you would have:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 2-4 years working with LV/MV switchgear designs.
- Skills: Experience in AutoCAD; SolidWorks familiarity would be a benefit, experience in ERP systems and PLCs would also be positive.
- Strong in SolidWorks 3D software proficiency.
- Some knowledge of the ERP system.
- Strong skills in PDF editing and Word.
- Need good communication skills.
- Other: Capable of communicating effectively; can prioritize multiple projects due to competing deadlines, with a personal and team-first attitude.
