Overview
You will contribute significantly to cancer awareness and prevention in Malaysia, as well as gain tangible experience in public health programs. The internship is open to students and recent graduates with an interest in research, health education, and an eagerness to see greater community health outcomes.
📋 Internship Roles &Responsibilities
1. Health Education & Promotion
- Assist in the development, planning, and implementation of awareness campaigns focused on cancer / NCDs.
- Develop health education resources, including but not limited to infographics, booklets, social media, and other resources.
- Develop and plan community outreach and health education programs.
2. Cancer & Health Screening
- Assist in the planning and delivery of service screening
- Guide participants through the screening process
- Respond to operational problems as they come up (problem-solving)
3. Mobile health
- Support vaccination and preventive care programs
- Support vulnerable community members with education on health initiatives
- Support logistical arrangements for programs in advance and on the day of delivery
4. Research & Content Development
- Conduct a literature review on a public health topic
- Develop health education resources based on the evidence
- Contribute to the design of health awareness campaigns
5. Training & Development
- Attend workshop training for public health programs
- Receive one-to-one mentoring from health professionals
- Gain experience contributing to and working in real, community-based programs
🎯 Who Can Apply?
✔ Students or recent graduates of Public Health, Medicine, Nursing, and other related fields
✔ Fantastic communicators who have a passion for community work
✔ Committed for the entire [length of time] of the internship
✔ Must have a solid command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (other languages are a bonus)
